The subject of this study was a high-achieving undergraduate experiencing burnout due to a lack of organizational systems. The environment was characterized by high-stakes testing and a mounting volume of research assignments, leading to a cycle of sleep deprivation and diminishing cognitive performance.
Open Study Review observed that the central conflict was not the difficulty of the material, but the inefficiency of the student's approach to task management. This discrepancy highlights the need for a systemic change in how students categorize and prioritize their academic obligations.
